Qualification structure

Three required elements

To become an ACCA member (FCCA), you need all three components. Passing exams alone is not enough.

01Exams

Up to 13 exams

Computer-Based Examinations (CBE) with tasks and case studies. IFRS and real business situations are used throughout.

  • Applied Knowledge — 3 exams
  • Applied Skills — 6 exams
  • Strategic Professional — 4 exams
  • Exemptions may apply with a university degree
02EPSM

Ethics and professional skills

Ethics and Professional Skills Module — a required online module built around realistic business cases.

  • 20–30 hours of online learning
  • Completed before or during Strategic Professional
  • Ethical decision-making
  • One-time cost of £81
03PER

36 months of experience

Practical Experience Requirement — relevant work experience supervised by a qualified professional.

  • 36 months of relevant experience
  • Finance, accounting, audit and tax
  • 9 Performance Objectives
  • Can be completed alongside studies
